I was just tested yesterday at Stanford using this brand new test.
It’s 96-98% accurate compared to the 55-65% accuracy of the tests that were first released by the CDC.
In three hours, rather than four days, the test revealed that my body is no longer producing COVID19 antibodies—I’m still experiencing some symptoms in the recovery stage but am no longer contagious.
Which is a very very good sign.
In the several hours I spent in a clean room having other tests done to ensure everything else is functioning properly, there were still a lot of people being newly admitted with COVID19. I’m just glad that they can now test with consistency and accuracy, confidently knowing when someone is no longer a carrier.
